Young lady wanted something funky and colorful, maybe tie dye so this is what I came up with. Used 10" yellow cake and 3 6" choc. cakes w/BC frosting. Cut cake board to mirror odd shape of cake and used a generous sprinkling of disco dust to finish it. Fun cake to do!
Just noticed I forgot to mention- The top layer has a spot for her number "8" candle to be placed there!
Cute cake - - LOVE your writing!
I love this cake!!!!! It is beautiful! She'll be one happy little girl!
How did you get the buttercream to do like that?
I piped the colors on in kind of a zig zag circle. I think I started with the pink and went from there not making each color the same width and once the circles got close to each other I filled in with the next color. Then let it sit for a bit and used a paper towel first ten smoothed more with a spray bottle & long frosting knife being careful not to blend the colors too much.
Hope that helps and thank for the nice comments.
