Back View Of Fire Hat
I thought it turned out pretty good. I did have trouble with getting the buttercream really smooth. I used viva paper towels, and also a hot paint brush. Any other ideas? Also, after I smoothed it, I stuck it in the fridge, and when I went to get it out, the icing and several large cracks. What happend? Suggestions? Comments? Thanks!
I think you did a nice job despite the few glitches you had... you have a lot of detail which makes you overlook the smoothness of the icing...
Those aren't cracks in icing....it's fire/smoke damage! Come on, those things take a beating, right? ;-D
You know, I think I finally figured it out! I stopped using butaven, and the cracks stopped. I like butaven, so now I just put a little bit. Don't know why it did this, but I really think that's what it is.
