Could you give me some advise? Your cake looks great, and I am going to be attempting my first topsy-turvy cake next month. Its for my little neice and I think the kids will prefer buttercream over fondant. I am going to be following the instructions on CC, but what tips could you give me for buttercream? Did you put the cake together before frosting it? Any suggestions would help. thanks :)
Thanks! Yes, I used buttercream and I smoothed it with a Viva paper towel. But I used fondant for the circles, hearts, and flowers.
