japanese cake. i saw a similar one on ACDM and loved it so I did my own take on it for my mom adn her sister's birthday. Carrot cake with crusting cream cheese icing, all accents made in gumpaste except for the flowers which were done using gelatin. plants on second tier were painted using a japanese brush
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Awesome!! Love the entire design. The writing is really great as are the flowers and bamboo. Excellent work!
Ohhh..I love that writing!!!! Awesome cake!
thanks everyone! the gelatine floewers were actuall the easiest part to make. just look at a thread called gelatin flowers in the forum for instructions. i did use white wire so that the color would blend.
excellent cake I love it....how did you do the flowers??/can I ask they look absolutely stunning....
Very pretty. The flowers add to the exotic look.
that looks wonderful...your icing looks like fondant!
wow, i love this.....I'm trying to figure out how you make the gelatin flowers myself??...
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY CRUSTING CREAM CHEESE ICING AND HOW DO YOU MAKE IT.
you can search the threads for crusting cream cheese icing for the recipe. personally it was way too sweet for me and it didn't crust as well as good old regular buttercream,
