Easter Cake on Cake Central

I was not happy witht the turn out of this cake. I really wanted to do a fondant cover, but after 3 tries and still no luck I gave up and used bc. Any tips on how to cover your cake in fondant and not have it crinckle tear or bunch up at the bottom? UGGH, any hoo, here it is. /Users/dorothysmith/Pictures/iPhoto Library/2007/02/09/100_1775.JPG /Users/dorothysmith/Pictures/iPhoto Library/2007/02/09/100_1776.JPG /Users/dorothysmith/Pictures/iPhoto Library/2007/02/09/100_1777.JPG /Users/dorothysmith/Pictures/iPhoto Library/2007/02/09/100_1778.JPG /Users/dorothysmith/Pictures/iPhoto Library/2007/02/09/100_1779.JPG /Users/dorothysmith/Pictures/iPhoto Library/2007/02/09/100_1780.JPG

Well, I think you did a great job on this WITHOUT the fondant. It's quite impressive! You got all the symbols in for the season, both religious and secular, and it doesn't look too overdone or sloppy. Your BC work is wonderful. Great job! Be proud! (p.s. remember, fondant is just another technique. it doesn't have to be used on every cake ... you did great! ) :)

Thank you all! I actually had a casuality with it, on my way to drop it off this morning to my daughter's school, it toppled over and completly got destroyed. I was just devistated. This has NEVER happened to me, uggh. The cross was out of fondant and I just brushed it with a toothpick. When it dried I brushed over it with luster dust.
