I made fondant panels and let them firm up overnight. Then I applied them to the cake with melted chocolate. I put the fondant polka dots on after the box was assembled. HTH!

WOW! I honestly through the black lingerie was a real piece of lingerie draped over a cake. You are just the most talented cake maker ever couturiere :)

Oh, I get it! The fondant is black and your pattern is the lustre dust through the stencil! Very clever! Very, very cool too!

how did you get your fondant in the perfect lingerie shape, I want to do one for my friends lingerie shower but that looks way out of my league

For the bustline, cut two triangles, Lay a stencil over them and brush with luster dust. Find a slightly rounded surface and lay the triangles over to dry.

It was a plastic stencil. I pressed it down, and lightly brushed on the luster dust. If you use too much luster dust, it will ruin the lines when you remove the stencil. ( I found that out during a demo just last Sunday!-sigh...):D
