Four Gifts

Four Gifts on Cake Central

This is the wedding I did last weekend. The bride and groom wanted four different cakes, all made to look like gifts, to represent the gifts they're giving each other in marriage (love, friendship, laughter, etc.) I was very pleased with the results, considering it was all done at my dad's house 1300 miles from home (the bride is a good friend, so I went the extra mile for her.)

If the cakes were this fun for the wedding, I bet the wedding was a blast! I love how original the idea is and how great the ideas for the cakes you came up with!! And away from home!!! Where did you get the cake plates and what did you use?? Awesome!

Thanks for all the compliments! ellyrae-the cake plates are foam core board covered with contact paper (the kind with the marble print). It's inexpensive, easy, and I can make it whatever size I need.

What a great idea! So unique. I love the designs on the packages too. They really look like gift wrappers.

Foam core board? The one that is like two pieces of posterboard with foam between? It's sturdy enough to hold up to the weight of a cake? Does it bend?
