Basket Weave Wedding Cake

It is a 14", 10", 6", used tip #7 for the basket weave and fondant/gumpaste flowers and leaves and petals.

Well, ummm, this happens to be the first basket weave that I have done since taking my classes last year. I did horrable in class and swore that I wouldn't do a cake with it! On this cake, I used tip 7, measured the vertical lines out evenly and then started at the bottom of the cake going all the way around, then the next row until I reached the top. It was a lot easier for me since I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands. I struggled with the 47 and 48 tips.

I'll have to save this one because this is one of THE prettiest basket weave cakes I've seen. Never seen it done with a round tip!! It's funny that you said you start at the bottom cause I thought, huh?? Just never thought about doig that. This is really soo pretty!!!
