Sweet Sixteen

Sweet Sixteen on Cake Central

This cake was made with Fondant. Started with light pink and then I colored a little more with luster dust and pink peddle dust. Sides were quilted and the bows were half fondant half sugarpaste so they would dry quicker. It started as a dummy cake and then added real choc. layers. Many cake orders came from this.

I can see why you're getting many orders for this! Very pretty!! It would be pretty in any color of the rainbow!! How did you get the scalloped edges on top of each round? Very nice touch!

Lovely cake. I like the lighter layer in the middle. It helps break up the cake into distinct layers.

Pretty girly cake. I'll be doing fondant in my next course class, so I'm glad to see the toothpick trick for keeping your big bows up till they dry.
