This is the wedding cake I made for Vol 27 of the DIY Weddings Magazine to which I was invited by Candace Chand from Beau Petit Cupcakes! ♥

I have chosen poppies because their elegance and delicacy remind me of bridal gowns and the bright yellow is the color of spring and sunshine. The little canary is a symbol of joy and happiness.

All flowers, the bow and the feathers of the canary are made of wafer paper. And the tiers are also wrapped in this paper because poppy petals always remind me of delicate and shiny crumbled paper.
