Everything (except the polystyrene separators) is edible. Pastillage corners and decoration, black cake lace, white fondant. Vanilla sponges with lemon buttercream and lemon curd.

What product did you use for the lace? How did you color it? Did the addition of so much coloring (I always have to use so much to achieve a true black)  affect how the lace mixture behaved and set up? I am currently making my first attempt at lace and having some difficulties (using Sugar Dress).

Griddy - I use the Claire Bowman black cake lace paste, so no need to add extra colouring to get that jet black effect. This was also my first time making cake lace, but I found the product very easy to use.
