This is a great cake. I see that the sides are higher than the cake tiers. Are they chocolate or fondant covered with edible image? I love seeing new ideas for nautical cakes.
Thank you so much! They are modeling chocolate and I used the panel method. The map is stencil (Evil Cake Genius) with royal icing. The whole cake was inspired by one I saw by Gateaux.
