I was asked to make a cake for a friend. It was for their Silver Wedding Anniversary. He asked if I could somehow hide a ring inside the cake? After much thought, I came up with the idea of making a hollow gumpaste top tier. This tier housed the beautiful diamond ring in its box, which his wife,when presented with the cake lifted off. The bottom tier is a rich Chocolate ganache cake which was served as dessert.
