Cake Masters Magazine Feature Punk Cake
Thrilled to be asked to take part in Cake Masters Magazine Fashion Through The Decades feature!
My cake is a tribute to the 70s and, being an English girl, that meant punk! But punk is also about being anti-establishment, so while I wanted to include the iconic fashion elements from the decade - tartan, zips, studs, leather, fishnets, chains and pins - I also wanted to make a traditional 'pretty' tiered cake, so I topped it off with a wafer paper flower. But the paper is printed with images and slogans from punk albums of the era!
Really well done! I'd love to see the other sides. Please share with us your technique for the tartan.
Looks incredible!
magnificent! and i mean each element is brilliant and then the safety pin -- the safety pin is so eloquent -- it makes all the other stunning elements breathe
Well done, chum!!!
I love it!!!! Congrats!!!
Looks great!
So cool!! Love it!!
Very cool and very well done!!!
The tartan is just printed wafer paper. I don't have photos of the other sides, I'm afraid, but they're just plain tartan.
Incredible design
