This wedding cake was made for a 45th wedding anniversary. It was originally meant to be a replica of the original 1970 wedding cake, but as the party was a surprise, and the photos available were poor quality, I was able to enjoy a lot of latitude, with the main requirements being the topper and swans. This was my first cake with multiple pillars, and my first traditional wedding cake, and my first all buttercream cake, as I usually work with fondant. Also the first cake I've made in about 3-4 years, since I stopped baking for awhile.
