This design was included in Cake Central's 2013 December Issue. It was a gorgeous issue full of sparkle, bows, birds, bells and whimsical creations. I was excited about the theme as both of my favourite holiday elements were paired together, with them being reindeer silhouettes and snowflakes. I wanted to set out for a whimsical, magical, almost ethereal feeling to this design. I chose hexagons straight away; as to me they resemble snowflakes. I built a hexagon stand out of crown moulding to pull the whole design together. I used a mold that I had made from a tree ornament for the body of the reindeer. I brushed the reindeer and stand with a pearlized dust to give it that wintery sheen. Hope you like it. Thanks :)
