Gumpaste Picture Frame.
for an 80th birthday cake - had the edible photos done and was going to do informal set of memorabilia but cake turned out more formal due to lack of other ideas/relevant artefacts being forthcoming! Ended up making a photo frame instead, which added some height to the cake as well.

My apologies for not responding to questions - not been looking at my photos! It is all gumpaste. I made the template for the frame and cut out two pieces same size ,cut middle from one, Sandwiched edible image between the 2 and finished off with moulded paste acanthus leaf edging and top detail, picked out details with edible gold paint.
