Were the Choc colored before you added the luster dust?? I wanted to try the same techique with the tools for Father's Day. I had them made by a friend. She used all white choc with no coloring. Beckykasunit
I used milk chocolate and the white candy melts colored with Wilton paste
That is a cool cake! The tools look so real!
I love it. Great job on the tools and tool belt.
Awesome Tools....great cake idea.
Such detail!! What an awesome job!!! What did you use to make the tool pouch look like real leather?
You did a wonderful job!!! I love it!!
Wow, great job!! This is so wonderful.
Boy that looks real! Your lettering is terrific also! Really great looking cake!
The tool pouch was made out of fondant and brown coloring. I used water to glue the belt and front on and made a bit of a mess. So, to cover it up, I just painted the whole thing with a bit of water.
You must be so PROUD! This cake is excellent.
Oh Wow! That's fantastic! Great job
Thank you everybody!! I really appreciate it!
That looks so great. My father would have loved that one.
Your cake looks fantastic!! Wonderful job on everything!
wow!!!! Great job!!!
I have some white choc (tools) and wanted to get the same effect. I bought the luster dust in silver, black and red. I wonder if I can get the same effect. I just love your cake! You did a wonderful job. When using the dust - do you add anything to it to paint it on the choc? Thanks! Becky
I think you can add a little grain alcohol and paint it. I just used a q-tip and dabbed it on straight.
Thanks! I will try that - Becky
