Relief Society Birthday
This cake has been a real learning experience for me. It was the first time I used gumpaste, the first time I used a center dowel and the first time I transported a tiered cake. Luckily I had a lot of help from the forums! All three layers are covered in fondant. The bows and flowers are gumpaste, the numbers I made with royal icing, the writing and the emblem was done with buttercream.

Terrific job! I love the little roses on top. I'm doing a cupcake demonstration for our RS celebration!
They asked me to teach a fondant class for one of our activites. Cupcakes are a great idea! Thanks for the compliments!
I get asked the same thing in my ward!! I recently taught the beehives some basic decorating. It was a blast....even though we had to keep shoving the boys back out to the gym!! LOL You know about boys and food!! Especially at YM/YW.......;)
