These acorn cookies ended up so beautiful in my humble opinion! They are brown sugar cookies with a lemony royal icing. The criss-cross pattern was piped with ganache, and with a painting technique I was able to simulate grains of wood. I sprinkled some of the green acorns with rough gold sugar, and others with a blend of gold powder dust and superfine sugar. Who wouldn't enjoy one of these cookies with a warm cup of coffee or tea? I hope that you guys like them too!
