I tried to create and unconventional looking cake. As you can see, I tried to create the look of an aged leather hat box. My goal and focus this time was on the challenge of creating something that didn't look like a cake at all. This was indeed a challenging and productive experience. Sculpting the various tiny pieces was tricky, especially when doing it for the first time. I am particularly proud of the stitches on the lid since they ended up looking so realistic. I piped them with royal icing and then spray-painted them. Remember that everything is edible. I hope that you like it!
