It is probably a sad problem, but I believe that people who have fallen victim to alcohol or drug addiction, even after a full course of treatment in a special substance abuse rehab, still have to struggle all their lives to keep their condition in remission. I think it's important to have trusted friends and people in one's inner circle who won't only support but also monitor one's condition.
