I wanted to participate one of the Inspiration Challenges for a long time and finally just did it. I can say this was really a challenge and I enjoyed every minute of it. First I experimented with origami paper, made flowers, geometric figures, animals. Then I designed and cut the decorations out of fondant. I decorated 6 cupcakes, considered as sweet treats, in pink, purple and white. The Origami decorations comes back in the elephants, the square, diamond, kusudama and even the double cupcake cases. I drew my inspiration from the pinterest board: The elephants, the colours and the kusudama flowers. The origami decorations are made from fondant/gumpaste. Really an inspiration challenge en it was worth it and I’m happy with the result.
