My Deer Head cake

I thought I was going along pretty good on this one til I realized that I forgot to cover the antlers in royal icing! In a pinch, I covered them in fondant, we'll see how it holds up. His nose is a little too big, but beyond that I'm very pleased for my first try with this. I'm really enjoying experimenting with sculpting cake! Thanks for looking!

You did a great job on this!! Thanks for showing the side view...I want to make one for my FIL and seeing it from the side helps take some of the mystery out of how it's constructed. Really great job!

One of the best deer cakes I have seen! I would love to know more details of your construction. I have to make one for a groom's cake at the end of June. I have never sculpted a cake before and all the help given would be greatly appreciated! jbooth74@yahoo.com
