This is the final cake after I tore down the tiers and finished the decorating. It is a 12X3- 10- 8- & 6 inch. The top and third layer are frosted with chocoalte cream cheese icing and the rest is chocolate bc.
It wieghs nearly 20 lbs. WOW!!
I know what you mean. The other one was my second tier cake and the first with real plates and pillars. My first tiered cake I did for my psisters wedding and I had no idea what I was doing really. I used just dowl rods as the pillars. It was nearly a disaster. My husband help level it out and then it finally lasted until it was ready to cut. I'll scan a pix of it and post it when I can.

looks delicious!!
Very yummy! Love the lavendar on the chocolate!
It is sooooooo yummy too! There went my diet.:-) As soon as this is gone, I can start another design. Thanks for the input.
How did you get that deep chocolate color, mine turns out light brown! (I use cocoa powder)
I like this much better - good decision, but then I'm a stacker all the way - far too scared to use pillars
