You did a fabulous job. You could have used a small piece of styrofoam under the lense to prop it up and it would have probably not even been able to be seen. I have seen that done with cars and such.
This looks amazing. Great job. I couldn't believe it was a cake, I had to look twice. :D
OMG!! You did a WONDERFUL job !! Just beutiful !!
That is awesome. Daughter is a photographer - they use Fuji S-3's. She wanted me to make her boss a replica for his birthday -- but I couldn't figure out how to get the lens to cantilever out from the middle of the (relatively small) body. I should have made him a Pentax! This is great. Very well done.
Very cool...my only comment is what you probably already see...the bottom of the lens is "squashed" a little; good job on a hard project!
This looks great! You did a wonderful job on this!
That is amazing - great job!
Wonderful job!! Looks awesome!
Thank you everyone. I did create the lens standing upright so when I attached it to the cake it "settled". I was wondering if anyone would be bothered by it and since Jeking did mention it was "squashed" I will work on recreating it tonight before the grant review tomorrow. Again thanks.
I fixed the crinkle and posted in a thread. I got the grant!
Wonderful replica! Amazing work! And congratulations on getting the grant...it was well deserved!
this cake is stunning and amazing....wow!!!
OMG! This is so cool! One of my gfs is graduating from photography school this summer and I so desperately want to make her a camera cake...no idea what cam she uses though....was this difficult to make?
That is amazing!
Amazing job! That is so awesome! Glad you were able to rectify the "squashed" part.
wow... just... wow! my mom does digital photography and has a wonderful Nikon. I'll have to try to do something like this, to surprise her. She'd LOVE it! What a great concept!
Here is the new picture with the fixed lens.
8O Wow! Love photography; Love Cake!
