Decorating time ~ 4 hours. Couple of disasters. Top cake split so be careful. In retrospect, I probably should have used a firm texture batter for the outer cakes. It took a lot of chocolate icing. I hate revealing my flaws but I ran out before I got to the detail. Oops. Matched the best I could. My cubemate actually came up with the idea after I told her that I was going to try a cake recipe with oreos in it. Thanks for the comments.

Awesome cake! Did you use any kind of support for the cake on top? Looks great!

AngelWendy Says... 10 years ago

Neato! How did you support the top cake? Is there a board under it? dowelling?

talmas Says... 10 years ago

I did not use anything to support the top cake since it was half a cake. I did not think it was necessary.

I've been looking for all-frosting cakes (ie, no MMF, etc.). This is great! Please tell me what tips you used for deco & how you put it together. Send a PM if you wish. I love it. It's so unique. I'd like to treat those at work with this. Am a hobbysit, this looks fun! :D
