These are so cool. They would be good for a movie party. We had a girl scout movie night a year ago and these would have been perfect.

gina1221 Says... 8 years ago

Super cute and very creative. Good job!

pidge Says... 8 years ago

Did you cut the marshmallows and then heat them a little to get the 'popcorn' shape? They are so cute!!

mgdqueen Says... 8 years ago

Those are adorable! A lot of work I'm sure!!

susanscakebabies Says... 8 years ago

TinaJoy07 Says... 8 years ago

I love these. Hubby is a popcorn freak he would love these to.. Please tell how you made the marhmellows look like popcorn

azterp Says... 8 years ago

I cut the marshmallows in a criss cross pattern and then just smushed the bottom part that I didn't cut (hope that is clear). I was planning on 'painting' on some yellow for the butter and then sprinking some large sugar for salt, but ran out of time! The liners I used were the Wilton candy cups (bought them at Michael's). They were the perfect size for the cupcakes (which I left in thier liners), and just used a red marker to color the stripes. Thanks for the comments! Let me know if you have m...

schildwaster Says... 8 years ago

these are awesome. the best cupcakes i've seen in awhile so creative!

azterp Says... 8 years ago

Just to be clear - I baked the cupcakes in a regular cupcake liner and then slipped them into the colored candy cups. Sorry if it was confusing!!

cocakedecorator Says... 8 years ago

awesome. the popcorn looks so real.

canoewoman Says... 8 years ago

Great job. I made these a few years ago. To make the popcorn I cut yellow and white marshmallows in half and then stuck one of each color together to make it look like popcorn. To make pink popcorn you could use pink marshmallows together with white.

CakeryBakeryMelle Says... 8 years ago

my sister is having a movie themed birthday party...i think im gonna try these for a display!! too cute way to go!

pinklady1356 Says... 8 years ago

Hey ITS AWESOME! what kind of liner did you use please tell me I want to try that. Thanks.and also is it food color paint or what did you use as red adn white on liner?

azterp Says... 8 years ago

I baked the cupcakes in a regular cupcake liner. I left the cupcakes in the original liner and slipped it into a Wilton candy cup which I bought at Michaels. I then took a thick red Sharpie and colored in the red stripes. I printed the Popcorn sign onto sticker paper and cut it out. It took a long time but it was worth it. Good luck. PM me if you need more information.

jdavis22 Says... 8 years ago

I have 2 questions - Are the cupcakes the standard size or are they jumbo? And did you smush the marshmallows on top of the cupcake when it was still warm?

azterp Says... 8 years ago

jdavis22 - the cupcakes are normal sized. I let the cupcakes cool, iced them a little bit with white icing and then stuck the 'popcorn' into the icing. HTH.

ombaker Says... 8 years ago

SO cool!!! So the candy cups were not edible??

azterp Says... 8 years ago

ombaker - there is a cupcake liner inside the candy cup. Both non-edible. The kids just pealed the liners away from the cupcake to eat. Thanks for your comment!
