Per your question: well Godiva, here is a case of the novice giving an expert some advice, which is very hard because your cakes are beautiful....in my art world, on the color wheel, the opposite of red is green....maybe a little forest green highlighter dust to darken the edges a bit......

That is going to be one breathtaking cake. Can't wait to see the finished product!

how beautiful!!!

I don't actually have a cutter for them, but enlarged a copy of an actual cutout to make this medium sized callas. The centers were made of yellow gumpaste and let dry...Then moistened with glue and dipped in cornmeal. Used a cornhusk veiner for inside detail.

Those are beautiful, I really like the color. How did you achieve the color?

Godiva Says... 9 years ago

This is the gumpaste I used for last year's Maria cake...I mixed tons of red red, super red and some burgundy...

Simply beautiful! The hue of red is striking as is your presentation. The bride should be estactic!

OMG these are perfect! Very nice.

It sure did help seeing them. However, I think I need to add more contrast on the edges for a better look. What do you think I can do?
