Frangipani - Plumeria Gumpaste Flowers

I did it, I did it!!! Yeah!!! (Yes I'm doing a happy dance!!) I've wanted to try these for so long... they're one of my favorite flowers. Wish I could grow them here in St. Louis! I know they're not perfect but I actually made them pretty close and colored them pretty good too if I do say so myself. I can't decide if they should be thicker or thinner petals. One book shows 1/16 and the other is like tissue paper (see through) thin. I'll keep trying but for now I'm happy! Enjoy!

I don't know that I'm qualified to do a tutorial but thanks for that great vote of confidence!! Wilton showed using their metal leaf cutter and cut 5 petals. Put the pointy end to the middle, glue, and lay them in a fan like manner. Curl the top outer edge and shape using a large lily nail. Pinch bottom together. Let dry and color. I'm still not sure on thickness though. One source showed tissue paper thin, the other 1/16. ??? Anyone who does these have any suggestions? They still need work....

How big are these flowers in diameter? I want to make them and put them on a cake, I just don't know what size to use...

They are about 2-3 inches across.
