Jack-In-The-Box Cake

One of my kids favorite fast food place is Jack In The Box, and gotta admit, love the jack balls myself. Oldest wanted a jack ball cake - would love to try this in a half-ball shape next time, but just had carpal tunnel release surgery and had to do it the easiest way possible. Nose was made (before I discovered gum-paste or fondant) from frosting rolled in unflavored gelatin, very easy to work with and dries in a few hours, nose "painted" with Wilton coloring.

Neato!! I love this cake!! Can you explain how you did the nose with gelatin? :detective: Sounds interesting, but I can't picture what you did.
