Chocolate Cake with white buttercream and tootsie roll roses. 1st try with tootsie roll roses and basketweave. I'm kind of happy with the results, but need more practice. It was fun to make.

They did taste pretty good. I used the same technique as you would use with fondant. Actually, it handled better than fondant. I made them at least a 1 wk or 1 1/2 weeks ahead of time and kept in a sealed container. They were just as good to eat as when you unrap a tootsie roll.
