2, 8 inch round, white chocolate cakes stacked and covered in white chocolate ganache and fondant. The lid is a 1 inch piece of cake on a board covered in chocolate fondant and propped open with skewers. the "paper" is made from thinly rolled paste. Adapted from a beautiful square design by Godiva.

Karen, I made it on Wednesday for my step daughter's birthday. I don't usually get much response from the kids anymore, they have become complacent :(
This cake is so beautifull and the bow is perfect!
really stunning!! I had forgotten you were doing this one, Sorry got caught up with stuff this week. Well done, looks really beautiful
Pink and brown is always a wonderful combination. I can't wait to try a cake design like this one!
Wow wow wow!!! Amazing job!! Flawless!!
Great job! Kuddos for mom!
I love this cake you did an awesome job!! I really like the writing on your board. Keep up the good work
Beautiful! you said you did 2, 8 in rounds. How did you get it so tall? Did you use lots of filling?
dtmc, I use 3 inch high tins and overfill them so the finished cake is3 inches deep, so the 2 cakes stacked on top of each other makes the cake about 6 inches. I don't tend to use filling, I just sandwiched the cakes together with chocolate ganache. Filling are not used as much here in Australia as they are in the States, but your cakes over there sound sooooo delicious :)
It is a gorgeous cake!!! Thank you for the info on how you did it !!!
This cake was for my daughter, so it wasn't delivered, but it was fairly sturdy, I would have taken the lid off, and re-assembled it if I had to deliver it.
Thats a beautiful cake! How do you transport a cake like this without the lid falling off??
perfect job!. Looks great! :)
beautiful cake.good job :D :D
Those cakes are so charming....you did a very nice job! :))))
Beautiful!!! How did you do your bow, it's really nice? What receipe do you use fory our white chocolate ganach and chocolate fondant?
WOW! I love this cake! Very impressive! I esp love the stitching on the bow.
this is wonderful - my favorite part is the detail on the ribbon - great job!
How did you cover the round cake lid with the fondant so perfectly? No seams. I can barely cover a round cakeboard without wrinkles.
