Another sock monkey birthday cake for a friend. She has a special sock monkey that she sent me pictures of, so I tried to make the monkey look like hers. Balloons are gumpaste on floral wires. Monkey and present are made from fondant and gumpaste. Cake is Deep, Dark Chocolate with dark chocolate buttercream filling. It's iced in a thick layer of vanilla buttercream, and decorated with fondant accents (even the buttons!).
