My son races bmx and wanted a cake that looked like his home track. I wasn't making a cake that big since we weren't having that many people over. This is what I came up with instead. This is a carved chocolate cake with hazelnut filling. It is iced in buttercream and then covered in graham cracker crumbs to resemble the track. The fondant number plate is decorated with the birthday boy's (my son's) name and age. The bike is a toy.
