I made this using a giant cupcake cake tin. A chocolate cake covered with butter cream and then with fondant. This is was my first attempt at using fondant icing. I also coloured the fondant with liquid food dye - this made the icing very sticky, have since found out that gel colours give a bright and more effective result. Plastic spiders. Coloured coconut is around the base.
