This cake was for a 10 yo boy who likes sports. I thought it was great for that age, not babyish at all. It has a layer of fondant and then the cut out fondant balls on top. I really didn't like the way the black food writer wrote on it. I might try painting with food coloring next time.
That's AMAZING! I love it! How did you get it to lay flatly but yet you can still see the separation of each ball?? It's almost like a puzzle.
Oh, I love it. I think it's a very creative way to do a sports cake.
Absolutely great cake!
Great job. It looks yummy!!
WOWZA!! VERY COOL!!!
I got it from Wilton's Create with Fondant book. I used the roller with the things on them to make sure all the pieces were the same thickness and then cut the balls out. Then you put one piece on the cake, set another piece overlapping a little and make toothpick marks where you need to cut and then use the cutter to cut it out. By using the cutter it was so much easier and made the piece fit together almost perfectly. It went pretty fast at the beginning but then the side and bottom took awhile.
Thats cool!
WOW!! I sure hope my son does not see this.
OMG! I love this!
