40Th Beer Birthday With Modelo

Sugar bottles and ice. With Chocolate wood, and fruit by the foot sprayed in gold as the metal. The sugar bottles were done by using the paint on latex mold method over a real modelo bottle, it took a few days so it could cure. Then made hard candy sugar to pour in the mold after. When the sugar hardened I put foil over the top and covered with the paper logo,as I knew it was not going to be eaten, as it was for my husband's 40th. I took the label to my local print shop and had them duplicate the label on a sheet of paper. I would do an edible image for others. The ice was made with isomalt crystals melted and poured over foil that was crinkled slighlty. All the recipes were found on here, and through forums. The cake was german chocolate, so I didn't want to use fondant as it would not taste very good. So I painted chocolate on an impression mat in 3-4 in strips and made them look like wood planks that were staggered. The lime was fondant. It was fun to make, people did not think it was all edible!
