Inside was a vanilla sour cream cake, with the extra special buttercream icing recipe on CC. The topper was made a few days in advance out of fondant mixed with gumpaste, with skewers between the cards for support (and a way to attach it to the cake!). This was my first topsy turvy cake, and apart from a few small injuries (a serrated knife slices through skin rather easily >_>), and being up until 4am getting it finished, I think it turned out okay?
