Brant Point Lighthouse Cake

Lighthouse cake made for an 80 year old's birthday. She is particularly fond of this lighthouse that is located on Nantucket. The cake (which is the body of the lighthouse) is made of red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and covered in chocolate ganache. The top piece is predominantly edible--there is a cardboard round covered in black fondant that is providing support. The windows were all hand cut and they also have "glass" (which are overhead transparencies). The light is a little battery-powered blinking light that I bought at a craft store. The walkway is one solid cut piece of gumpaste (with the vertical white pieces being cut skewers that I painted with white food coloring). As for the pink flamingo: it is a family joke :) Thanks for looking!
