Clinopyroxene Thin Section Cake

Clinopyroxene Thin Section Cake on Cake Central

So this is my wife's forgotten account. I just wanted to show off a cake I made for my college petrology class. To the left is what we see when looking at a clinopyroxene crystal in thin-section from Mt. Vesuvius with an electron-probe microscope. To the right is a cake I made to share with my class on the last day of lecture. I used four boxes of cake mix if you are wondering how big it is. Two 12 inch rounds cut to hexagons. Groundmass represented by frosting on the cookie sheet with chocolate sprinkles and M&Ms. I unfortunately didn't see an appropriate category for this cake. What? No science catagory?
