I finally mastered the roses! I was getting frustrated, because I was using a smaller tip and my roses just looked like I was swirling the frosting around in a circle. I got the bigger 1M tip and tried them again tonight and voila! It worked!! Chocolate Irish cream cake with Irish cream-buttercream frosting.
