Elmo's body was formed from warm rice krispy treats over 3 dowels and allowed to cool/dry overnight. His eyes and nose are also made from rice krispy treats and covered in fondant. Elmo's body was iced with royal icing using a grass tip. The cake was iced in white creamcheese icing and decorated with fondant and gumpaste decorations. Big Bird, and Cookie Monster were made from only fondant/gumpaste with no internal support so they were 100% edible all the way down to Big Birds hand cut out feathers to Cookie Monsters mini cookies. This also had a matching babies 1st birthday mini cake.
