Let me begin by saying this was my first stacked cake...The mother asked for navy blue and alligator green colors. She also requested the gum paste baby on top and the footprints going up the side of the cake (which were piped directly on the cake using royal icing). The teddy bears, roses, and the baby were all made of gum paste and then shaded with luster dust and hand painted. She wanted buttercream and a vanilla cake. The actual cake was tinted green ;-) I covered the cakeboard with chocolate tinted fondant and did the cakeboard border in green and navy marbled fondant.
