What a great job!! What is pastillage icing?

rach1 Says... 9 years ago

it is a very strong icing which can be rolled out but it sets very hard..so can be used for towers etc anything which needs to be strong..

i think pastillage is just another term for gumpaste....like what you make flowers from..........great castle by the way

It is similar but pastillage is even harder..it dries very quickly and sets rock hard..you must work quickly with it as it does start to skin quickly..but its great for towers and that is freestanding and needs to be strong
