Very simple, just royal icing snowflakes sprinkled with sparkling sanding sugar...then I added some Swiss dots because it seemed a bit TOO plain!
6", 9" and 12" tiers of 5.5" tall, iced in Martha's Italian Meringue BC
Gorgeous! Very elegant!
Perfect beads. Well done!
nice and smooth
antonia, this is toooo perfect to cut or eat. Absolutely beautiful.
Wow! Do you use the paper towel method to get your icing so smooth? I can't believe how smooth your icing is!!!!
You are my smooth icing hero. I can only hope to be as good at as you one day!! Beautiful cake!
Martha's Italian Meringue BC...that sounds delicious...and wow on the height of those cakes...how many layers in each cake may I ask?
your edges are perfect... now i have icing envy!
Thanks! I use a non-crusting buttercream (Martha's Italian Meringue), so the smoothing is done with the pastry scraper. I LOVE to do the final smoothing with a plastering tool from the hardware store. Really sharp and smooth! Each cake is 4 layers of cake & 3 thin filling layers.
New to this site, looked at a lot of pictures - yours the first to make my mouth water!!! Looking forward to the day I can do so accomplished a job!!
