For my sister's birthday this year, I decided to create an edible version of her black Caviar Chanel 2.55 bag. Red velvet cake layered with cinnamon cream cheese buttercream mimicked the red interior of the bag. The double CC turn-style lock and chain were painted with edible 24k gold dust and lemon extract. Each link of the chain was handmade with fondant interwoven between the chain links, a task that was time consuming but something I felt was necessary to the design of the cake. I hope my sister liked it. Happy birthday Dawn!
