My first attempt at a teapot cake. I followed instruction in a Lindy Smith book to support the spout and handle with pastillage, but unfortunately once it was inside the cake the pastillage collapsed. I needed to do a rescue job with some softened wooden skewers! I've been advised to try aquarium tubing next time. I'm not at all happy with the lettering on this cake, I wish I had made a plaque so I could have positioned the letters carefully before putting it all on the cake in one go - but we live and learn.
