I saw a picture of this cake and decided to try it out for my friends birthday! It's a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. The flowers and flip flop straps are fondant. Everything else is buttercream. I used 2 9 x 13 pans so the base of the cake is on 9x13 cake and then I cut out flip flop shapes(make sure they are done for left and right foot) from the other 9 x 13 pan. I also used straws as dowls under the flip flops and through the middle of the top of the straps.I used Hot Pink and Lemon yellow colors.I also used graham cracker for the sand. However be careful because the pipping kept slipping off and I had to move the sand away from the sides so it would stick. The shells are made with super white choc. using a sea shell chocolate mold.
