Living near Fort Bragg NC I get the opportunity to do allot of military cakes. This one was for a graduate of the Special Forces Training Course. The cake consists of a sculpted 3D skull cake which I placed on top of a three tiered cake stacked towards the front with a special forces flag "Mess with the best, Die like the rest" draped over the top two tiers. On the bottom I used a combination of rocks and brick with pealing plaster. The humerus was first carved out of styrofoam and then covered in fondant. The radius ulna, fingers, snake, and yarborough knife were also made from fondant. I used white fondant and then painted in all the details.
